|Dr. Seiji Naito, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Seiji Naito graduated from Kumamoto University in 1994. He earned his Medical Degree in the Kyushu University in 1980. From 1984 to 1986, he served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of the Department of Urology and Cell Biology at M.D. Anderson Hospital, University of Texas, USA. Since 1998, he has been a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University.
He served as a President of the Japanese Society of Endourology and ESWL from 2006 to 2008. Since 2004, he has been a Secretary General of the East Asian Society of Endourology (EASE), and he will host the 8th Annual Meeting of the EASE, which will be held in Kyoto, Japan this year in conjunction with the World Congress of Endourology (WCE). Since 2009, he has served as the President of the Japanese Urological Association (JUA) and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Urology (IJU). He is the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the 32nd Congress of the Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU), which will be held at his home city, Fukuoka, Japan in 2012. He is an honorary member of the AUA, and active member of the European Association of Urology (EAU), SIU and Urological Association of Asia (UAA).
He has contributed a vast number of articles and publications in various subspecialties including 220 articles in oncology and 30 in endourology.
